Strengthening Community Engagement for HIV Prevention: Our Participation in the LEN PrEP Workshop
Our Program Officer on the N-THRIP Project joined key stakeholders at a national workshop to advance demand generation and community engagement strategies for Lenacapavir (LEN) PrEP in Nigeria.

World Aids Day
The World AIDS Day 2025 program focused on raising awareness about HIV prevention, testing, and treatment while addressing stigma and misinformation. Through an HIV/AIDS awareness walk across Ilorin and a sensitization outreach at Kwara State Polytechnic, the initiative engaged community members and students with accurate information, encouraged open conversations, and provided free, confidential HIV testing to promote healthier and safer communities.

Capacity Building For Adolescent Girls and Young Women Community Testers
As a member of the National Youth Network on HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NYNETHA), OCDI participated in a capacity-building training for Adolescent Girls and Young Women community testers in Kwara State. Organized by the Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN), the training aimed to advance the UNAIDS 2030 targets—ensuring that 95% of people living with HIV know their status, 95% of those diagnosed receive sustained care, and 95% of those in care achieve viral suppression.

Society For Family Health visit to OCDI Program Team
Representatives from SFH/NAHI Abuja visited OCDI to assess the progress and impact of HIV field testing and linkage services in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Mentoring and Monitoring of Community Facilitators HIV testing and Counselling of FSWs in Eyenkorin, Asa LGA
Through the NAHI Grant, OCDI is expanding access to community-based HIV testing and linkage services for key populations in Kwara State, strengthening prevention, care, and treatment outcomes.

MEDICAL OUTREACH AT EYENKORIN MARKET
In a bid to improve reproductive health knowledge and access for women and girls, OCDI, in partnership with Women Friendly Initiative (WFI) and funded by IPAS, organized a free medical outreach at Eyenkorin Market Square on 26 November 2018, providing essential health services and counseling to over 70 participants.

Community Tuberculosis (TB) Control Project
On June 7, 2018, Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI), with funding support from the Global Fund through Health Alive Foundation, implemented a community-based TB project aimed at promoting behavioral change, improving early detection, and reducing TB incidence among vulnerable populations.

Multi-Disease & HIV Testing Services (HTS) Campaign
In March 2018, a five-day multi-disease and HIV Testing Services (HTS) campaign, implemented by Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) with technical support from NACA, provided free medical services to thousands of residents across communities in Anambra and Edo States.
