OCDI, in collaboration with Women Friendly Initiative, engaged key stakeholders in Ilorin West and Asa LGAs to address critical issues affecting adolescent and youth health, nutrition, and wellbeing.

Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI), in partnership with Women Friendly Initiative, convened a stakeholders’ engagement meeting across Ilorin West and Asa Local Government Areas to address pressing issues affecting adolescents and young people—particularly in relation to their health and nutrition.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders to foster dialogue, strengthen collaboration, and promote sustainable solutions that support the wellbeing of adolescents within the communities.
During the engagement, Local Government representatives were encouraged to optimize existing budgetary allocations dedicated to adolescent development. Emphasis was placed on the need to establish and sustain safe spaces where young people can freely interact, play, and access accurate, youth-friendly information about their health and personal development.
To further amplify the message and drive community awareness, a rally was organized following the meeting. The rally served as a platform to sensitize the public, promote adolescent health rights, and encourage community-wide support for youth-focused initiatives.
