2018 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD
In commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child on 11 October 2018, Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) marked the event at Apata Ajele Community Secondary School, Eyenkorin, Ilorin under the theme: “With Her: A Skilled GirlForce.” The occasion launched a year-long initiative bringing together partners and stakeholders to advocate for the most pressing needs and opportunities for girls to acquire employable skills. The programme aims to expand learning opportunities, chart new pathways, and mobilize the global community to rethink how girls are prepared for a successful transition into the workforce. Through this initiative, OCDI continues its mission to equip girls with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to thrive personally, academically, and professionally.
