Girl Child Education And Skill Acquisition Program(GESAP)
Between 18th and 22nd May 2026, additional secondary schools in Kwara State were selected under the Life Skills sub-component of the AGILE Project, while selected mentors were trained on life skills, gender-based violence, environmental sustainability, climate change, and health awareness.

Between 18th and 22nd May 2026, more secondary schools across Kwara State were selected to participate in the Life Skills sub-component of the Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project. This expansion marks a continued effort to reach more adolescent girls with essential knowledge and skills that support their personal development and well-being.
As part of the implementation process, selected mentors from the participating schools underwent structured training sessions designed to strengthen their capacity to deliver life skills education effectively. The training covered critical thematic areas including life skills development, prevention of gender-based violence, environmental sustainability and climate change awareness, as well as health education and awareness.
Through this initiative, mentors are better equipped to support adolescent girls with relevant information, guidance, and practical tools needed to make informed decisions, build resilience, and contribute positively to their communities.
